In New England much of the housing stock is several generations old, a canvas already laden with story and character.  Celebrating the life of the original house, while layering in new inspiring aesthetics and function is what our work is all about.

In this 1920’s quintessential Dutch Colonial, we infused the home with our client’s personality while celebrating the existing woodwork, proportions, and detailing.  The classic layout of the home was dramatically improved with a few thoughtful moves.  We designed an addition over the existing sunroom to blend in with the exterior of the house.  The addition added an en suite bathroom and office to optimize the functionality of the home for this young family.

The dance between the original details of the house and the vibrant character of the new interior finishes give the home a personality all its own.  Our collaborative approach combines our client’s aesthetics, their functional needs, and the character of the house. The resulting projects are unique every time, which is the greatest joy of this work!
